MEAL PREP for FALL

MEAL PREP for FALL | healthy recipes + easy meal ideas 2023 🍂

It's that time of the year again, the leaves are changing, there's a chill in the air, and it's officially Fall 2023!

You might recall my recent "Healthy Fall Bake With Me" video, but, here's the thing, girls – when it comes to meal prep in the fall, I get giddy all year round! So, welcome to my cozy kitchen, I'm going to show you how to prep meals that'll support your endocrine system while tantalizing your taste buds. Let's dive right in!

Meal Prep Magic

Roasting and cooking- as we embark on this culinary journey, the first step is roasting those hearty fall veggies. Picture this- quinoa lentil salad with kale, roasted squash, sliced sweet potatoes, and fingerling potatoes. We're starting with the squash, as it takes a little more time. Then, the sweet potatoes and fingerling potatoes join the party. While they sizzle in the oven, we're also multitasking by cooking up some quinoa and lentils on the stovetop. This ingredient separation might seem unusual, but trust me, it's a game-changer for your lifestyle. No more mealtime monotony – we'll craft various dishes from these prepped ingredients.

Mix and Match Your Meals

If you're a regular viewer of my channel, you know I love the idea of mixing and matching. Just like last week when I shared What My Kids Eat in a Day, this week's meals will follow a similar pattern. I like to prep proteins in various ways so you can enjoy different combinations and flavors. It's all about keeping things fresh and exciting. With these prepped ingredients at your fingertips, you'll have endless inspiration to create unique, wholesome meals.

Prep-Protein Pairings

For instance, I've got roasted chicken, perfect for salads or stir-fries, and ground beef that's ready to be paired with quinoa, sweet potatoes, or zucchini. And guess what? My oven also is an air fryer, so reheating those meals is a breeze.

Herb-Infused Hydration

You know, hydration is key, and here's a fun twist for Fall. I like to make herb-infused water for the week. It's simple – throw in some fresh herbs like basil and rosemary, a slice of ginger, and a zesty lemon into a glass pitcher. You'll enjoy this refreshing drink for 5-7 days. But today, we're getting creative. How about some fennel seed water? Fennel is packed with minerals like magnesium, potassium, copper, and zinc – a fantastic addition to your daily hydration. Its earthy, slightly licorice-like flavor is grounding and perfect for the Fall season. Give it a try, and you'll find it's an excellent way to stay refreshed and energized throughout the day.

Savor the Flavors of Fall

Remember that healthy fall bake I mentioned earlier? It's a gem, especially with pumpkin puree, spices, vanilla extract, and a touch of coconut milk. Mix in some chia seeds, and you've got a delightful treat that's perfect for the season. The best part? You can customize the flavors to your liking, so get creative!

A taste of Fall 2023 meal prep, with a dash of wellness, a pinch of creativity, and a whole lot of coziness. Fall is all about warmth, comfort, and savoring the flavors of the season, and with these meal prep ideas, you're all set to embrace the magic of autumn. Until next Thursday, happy Fall, and happy meal prepping! 🍂
